“You're not working on the horse, you're working on yourself” Ray Hunt

Edit TextDelete Text
We are perfect for the life-long equine enthusiast
OR
a good home for your best partner!

We believe our relationship with horses should be based on mutual trust and respect. This is not just an ideal,
but how we treat every horse, everyday.

Training:

Young horses, problem horses, or just fine tuning

 Lessons:
 Beginner lessons, Western and English

Here are ten simple things we try to remember every ride,
best summed up by the great horseman,
 Ray Hunt:

 1. Instead of a hard tightness, try to find a soft firmness
 2. Think right down to the ground
 3. If you are going to teach a horse something and have a good
relationship, you don’t need to make him learn it
...you need to let him learn it.
 4. The right feel and timing bring you the balance.
 5. THINK
 6. Ride your horse with your whole body, not just your arms and legs.
 7. Notice the smallest change and the slightest try, and reward him.
 8. Ride with life in your body.
 9. He knows that you know, and you know he knows
10. You’re not working on the horse, you are working on yourself.
